Baltic EMT reprimanded
Swiss Valley Ambulance District Board members learned Wednesday that a member of the Baltic Emergency Medical Technician Squad has received a written reprimand for what was termed an incident of “inappropriate behavior.â€
Officials declined to elaborate on the behavior or provide the names of those involved.
The issue was discussed during a lengthy meeting in Village Hall, adjacent to the fire station on W. Main St.
Dale Krebs, board chairman, said the incident involved two EMTs on the Baltic squad who were caught by volunteer firefighters with overnight guests.
Baltic EMT Chief Nyoka Lewis, who reportedly issued a written reprimand to one of the EMTs, said there were two incidents, both involving the same workers. She declined further comment on the incidents after the meeting.
Lewis said during the meeting that the Baltic squad is no longer having its EMTs stay at the fire station because it’s not currently necessary, but new employees might stay there in the future.
